Is what it is.
This is simply a post that works with terrific wire shelving. I did assume that this post would have threads at the top under the cap, but it does not and will work only as a 24" post, not connected with other lengths.

Sturdy product with easy assembly
These posts along with the wire shelving work perfectly for storage in one of our closets. It was easy to put together and is very sturdy. The price is a bit steep, but I was able to order the exact size to fit the space so it was worth it.
